Welded steel, 12 TV’s, 12 DVD-players and video.


In collaboration with Hans Beenhakker, who invited refugees living in Holland, to dance in front of the camera. He combined the outcome of the performances with archive-footage of Dutch boat migration.

The structure resembles a metal-detector checkpoint, a safeguard for protected traveling, but also a portal to new worlds. Considering the location, the Passenger Terminal of Amsterdam, MOVE offers a juxtaposition between international free travel and forced migration throughout the world.
